So I suck at staying on a schedule.

Supposed to run Thursday or Friday and didnt. Ran this morning it was CRAPPY by the way, icy and raining, dodging puddles, and I was tired and sluggish and watched the Garmin the whole way to make sure I didnt go over 3 km I was just that stinkin lazy! OMG! And the time I posted was bad...It was supposed to be a little faster than the other night but it was slower; likely due to the puddles and ice and walking around them but still, it wasnt a pleasant run and I just got back to my car and drove home without stretching and now Im cranky about it hahahha

Back at it again!

Ok after delaying the start of the training for the Half, and getting mostly over the latest illness, I did run tonight and am on the program.
I was tired. And slugglish. and exactly the way I expected to be after so much time off. SIGH.

Only did 3 km, almost exactly according to the Garmin. In 20 minutes 36 seconds. Not a fast time, will do a quicker run tomorrow night. And ran around town. Finished and walked a bit to cool out, actually a long way lol. Was reminded what I hate about running in town; In places the sidewalks were covered either with 2 inches of ice or 3 inches of icey water. So in places where I could or had to, I ran on the road. and most cars just go around or slowly go by. But this one total ASSHOLE drove straight at me; in fact turned to go towards me; pointing at the sidewalk and mouthing Get on the Sidewalk Get on the Sidewalk. Typical. Id like to see that ass run over the ice water without getting his feet frozen. Share the road, jackass!

And then there were the nice fresh piles of dog crap. On the sidewalk of downtown. Right in front of nice little shops and pretty cafes. People with dogs can be SO horrid. Who could just stand there on the sidewalk watching their dog crap and then walk away? Leaving it for someone else to clean up or worse, someone to walk in. SIGH. It just makes me so mad! Because Ive been the one who stepped in it! Totally ruined good shoes! RUDE! RUDE!

Anyway I cannot wait until we can run on trails again. Yes there is still dog shit but at least we can go around it. SIGH.

Ran alone tonight it was not too dark either; quite nice temperature I got too hot.
I have to play hockey tonight so I didnt want to push it too much; I ran slowly and added a steep hill and did 4.06 km in 31:27 which is a terrible time but I do need to have legs left to use tonight.
Apparently I am going to train for a half marathon in 18 weeks. I can do the training; I am not sure I can do the marathon. But I will do the training ;)

February 11

I really hope come spring I feel better. Im so tired! I just want to stay in bed all the time! Its a real stuggle to get out of bed most days! and when I get home, I just wanna crawl back in.
But Im still getting up and still doing things; went to the gym this morning, and ran a mile before working out arms and back and then showering and heading to school. Ran after work; with Tonya around town. felt like a much longer run than it was.

Played soccer Monday night. Played hockey yesterday. Ran and gym today. I need to wake up.

February 9 09

Ran with Tonya; Seriously icy conditions. She got get a Grips for her shoes and did pretty good. I didnt have grippers but I think I held my own; we ran on the road where we could. It was good that way.
Both have had a bit of lay off; Ive been trying to shake a cold for a month; Im not sure what her story is ;) It was nice to get back at it last night.

We did go 4.75 KM with 2 walking breaks and 37 plus minutes. With the ice and the walks I dont think that was tooooo bad. It will obviously take some time to get back at the run.

Struggle Struggle

Its been quite a battle to attempt to be fitter this winter. Get running gear, get a gym membership, get a cold. My colds are nasty. They never used to be like this. ugh. A month later Im still coughing. And yes I saw a doctor.

Went to the gym this morning; warm up on treadmill, weights on legs, then 15 more minutes on treadmill before I ran off to the chiropractor. At least I made it there today.
